EduKick Madrid Announces Girl’s Football Academy

EduKick Madrid Soccer Academy invites FEMALE Soccer Players to attend their Residential Academic & Soccer Development Courses.

The EduKick Madrid Soccer Academy combines education (both secondary and Spanish language study) with daily, intense Spanish football training led by the family of the former Spanish Men’s National Team Coach Luis Aragones.

EduKick Madrid is directed by Anselmo Vicioso Aragones, Luis Aragones’ adult nephew, a former professional player and holder of a MA in Education/Sports psychology from Boston University who worked with the Spanish National team during recent Word Cup and European cup campaigns as the team’s mental coach.

EduKick Madrid invites all competitive FEMALE players aged 14-22 years of age to “Train in Spain” and inquire about our academic year, half year, semester and monthly courses available.

Elyse Galan, a 17-year-old player from Quebec gives a glowing report of what EduKick can do. Said Galan,

“I spent a month at the EduKick Madrid Soccer Academy recently and found it an excellent place for me to grow as a player and a person. The training with EduKick and AD Colmenar was very beneficial and helped me improve all aspects of my play. I really enjoyed my experience and I am looking forward to returning for the ½ Year program which I have just registered for. I cannot wait!!!”

The EduKick Madrid Soccer Academy offers intense, daily Spanish style football training and match play over a prolonged period of time in Madrid, Spain; one of the world’s epic centers of footballer development.

EduKick Madrid has strong partnerships with many football clubs throughout Madrid, from grass roots to the professional level.

Its main partnership is with A.D. Colmenar, which is a Spanish 3rd Division professional club federated under the umbrella of the Spanish and Madrid official Football Federations.

Marielle Benitez, Captain of the Philippine Women’s National Team (among many other accomplishments) is an excellent example of the kind of player EduKick produces. EduKick President, Joey Bilotta said,

“Marielle was the first big name of female players to train at EduKick Madrid and since then we have had several other quality female footballers pass through our academy. But now we are dedicating a specialized curriculum for female players to come to Spain and stay long term to learn Spanish and pursue their football dreams in home of the world champions.”

Upon initial evaluation by EduKick Madrid technical staff coaches those EduKick Madrid FEMALE players who have the minimum ability level and experience will be invited to attend A.D. Colmenar trials and may be inserted into their FEMALE squads.

These squads will train 2 or 3 evenings each week and play competitive matches in the Madrid Federation leagues on weekends.

All FEMALE participants will train daily under the guidance of EduKick Madrid FC Head Technical Coach “MISTER” Sergio Leon Ballesteros alongside EduKick Madrid Male participants. These sessions will be technical and tactical based to complement the local team evening training sessions.

The EduKick Madrid Academy is located in the Residencia Erasmo de la Universidad Autónoma de Madrid en Cantoblanco and in the north of Madrid.

The cornerstone of all EduKick Madrid programs is the “Year Long” course which runs from September – June.

EduKick also offers a “Half-Year” course which runs from January – June, and monthly programs (4 weeks) available anytime during the “Year Long Course”.

At the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid Residence ERASMO participants receive 3 meals a day at the University Residence Cafeteria (EduKick Cafe).

EduKick Madrid employs a full-time adult FEMALE monitor to reside at the University residence with our FEMALE players for 24/7 supervision, mentorship and general assistance.

EduKick Madrid have their offices located in the residence giving all staff the responsibility to supervise and mentor the courses student-athletes.

Participants study Spanish Language & Culture following the world acclaimed communicative approach of International House Madrid (IH).

The aim of our 15 hours per week intensive Spanish course (9 hrs. instruction at IH and 6 hrs. Spanish tutoring/homework) is to achieve usable communicative ability, and prepare students for the DELE exams, the internationally recognized official Spanish qualification.

Participants who are already fluent in Spanish or have at least a minimum of 200 hours of exposure to the Spanish language have the option to attend the EduKick Madrid affiliate High School “Rosa Chacel” where they will follow the Spanish Bachillerato curriculum or the International Baccalaureate program.

The EduKick Madrid residence has classrooms available complete with WIFI for those participants who choose to continue their studies from home, long distance, or online. Our Academic Coordinator is onsite to supervise students during daily study periods.

Registration is now open to begin in January 2014 for the “Half-Year” Course or September 2014 for the “Academic-Year” Course.
