2012-2013 An Exciting Soccer Year for EduKick Manchester

2012-2013 An Exciting Soccer Year for EduKick Manchester

Watching the Pros
Throughout the year we went to watch many live games in the Manchester area, including the three champions league games the Manchester City featured in.

These were great experiences, not only the champions league games but also the lower league games as the lads got to see all different levels of UK football.

Trips to the Clubs

Building on the experiences for the players, visiting the clubs was a great bonus.

To see and be involved in coaching sessions at Blackburn and Burnley along we getting behind the scenes at these clubs was a great opportunity.

Match Days

Throughout the year the team played 36 fixtures on the Edukick England program. With a game a week on average the team got plenty of opportunity to show their skills off and show how they are developing.

The lads really showed their ability to achieve great results.

Studying Hard
Every morning it was the academic study on the program, with a mixture of subjects from English, BTEC, GCSE’s, K12 online studies and more.

All the boys have achieved highly in the academic studies, meaning many can go onto further education and try to stay in the football industry.

Training Hard
Training everyday at Platt lane was great for the boys, at some of the best football and soccer facilities in the area the team worked hard daily with the coaches on their technique, fitness and tactics of the game.

Making New Friends
At the beginning of the year, we had a group of boys. By May 2013, we had a group of young men who had matured physically and mentally.

Each one is walking away with life long friendships and an education in different cultures not achievable anywhere else.

These experiences all and will never be forgotten!

Success
In 2012/2013 we’ve had some great success stories!

Sam Zimmermann signed pro, Vyankatesh started his own coaching company, Nazar signed pro, Christian moved onto higher education, and Eric signed for Derby county.

Quinn went to several trials, Fernando, Jiri and Zac are all training with semi-pro clubs, and Stanley and Irving have been offered places at numerous UK universities.

Those are the ones we know about!

Congratulations to all the EduKick Alumni who continue to honor and amaze us with your intelligence, your hard work and your ability to succeed in the world of soccer/football.
