EduKick International Football Academies (EIFA) philosophy promotes the correct balance between competition, training and education. EIFA academies offer progressive daily football training and regular fixtures in a professional football academy environment for youth and young adult footballers who are ready to take their game to the next level by committing to a long term football development course abroad!
Are you ready?
EIFA academic year football academies are competitive and intense by nature; players attending our academies generally aspire towards playing collegiate and/or professional football. All competitive footballers (both male and female) from 12 to 22 years of age are welcome to apply to an EIFA academy course.
Interested players qualify for the course after being pre-screened and approved by EduKick, INC. front office on Toronto, Canada. Players qualify for EIFA football academies by providing a current football résumé (curriculum) with coaches references and by conducting a telephone interview with EduKick.
With EIFA’s seven (7) International Football Academy venues around the world (England, Spain, France, Italy, Brazil, Mexico and Canada), our dedicated teams of professional staff in each academy provide our international student-athletes with a unique insight into the specific training methods and playing style of the particular EIFA country chosen. As part of the educational element of the course players also enjoy the additional benefits of continuing their secondary education (if still in Middle or High School) or studying a foreign language (second language acquisition).
Intense, competitive, and progressive daily football training sessions and weekly competitive match play either with a local team or as part of the EIFA Academy squad form the foundation of each EduKick Football Academy. Players will be coached by both EduKick professionally qualified and licensed staff coaches and/or by the coaching staff of our partner professional football clubs (see the individual country program details).
EIFA Developmental Football Training and Competitive Match Fixtures
Technical – Players will be coached not only in the complexities of the game but also the simple elements of the game to ensure individual improvement and performance. Simple repetitive practices will be introduced to ensure the EIFA academy players are focused on all aspects of the game.
Tactical – Players will learn the tactical parts of the game, looking at shape, movement, set plays, defending and attacking as a team and phase of play, using examples from games they have been involved in and the professional game in the EIFA program host country.
Fitness Training/Speed/Agility/Quickness – All EIFA academy players will be put through their paces in fitness sessions that will vary from endurance, strength, conditioning and technical movements associated with the game. The sessions will include footwork and developing quick feet without the ball, co-ordination and awareness, anaerobic speed burst movements of the game and general aerobic fitness. During these sessions players will be taught the safe practices of training to assist in injury prevention.
Competitive/Friendly (Development) Matches – Regular friendly/development matches are designed for players to improve their physical conditioning, technical skills and understanding of the game in a non-results based environment where they are encouraged to play with a no fear of failing attitude and to express themselves creatively. Competitive matches (also scheduled) are where the players are encouraged to put their physical/technical/mental development and game awareness into practice in a high intensity results based environment.
Cool Down/recovery Sessions – Following competitive fixtures and high tempo match play activity we believe a thorough cool down and next day recovery session is important to assist in injury prevention. These sessions will involve light training or activities. During these sessions analysis of previous match play and coaching to look at improvement will be incorporated where necessary.
