EduKick International Football Academies (EIFA) Madrid, Spain Academy
OVERVIEW
Football Development & Language Immersion Programs
Welcome to EduKick Spain
EduKick is proud to provide participating players with “the Spanish language & culture football experience of a lifetime!” EduKick believe that living, studying and training in a foreign country is an invaluable experience that a player will never forget and the benefits of such an experience will be embedded positively into that individual for the rest of his or her life.
EduKick Spain staff are keenly aware of the challenges that our Academy presents to our players so are fully committed to the overall education of each individual through our football development and language immersion program. Living, playing football and studying in Spain as a teenager or young adult represents an enormous challenge for both the participant and the educators. From the participant’s; courage, effort and character is required to succeed. From the EduKick Spain football staff, it demands creativity, professional guidance, supervision, mentorship and expertise in order to provide the required level of service to our young players.

BILINGUAL PROJECT
While the majority of lessons are taught in Spanish Collegio Alameda Department of Modern languages has a special bilingual project to broaden the knowledge of its Spanish students in the English Language in order to achieve the demands of today’s global society. Through all phases of the school education (Childhood, Elementary and senior) the goal is to produce fluency in English thus many of the senior students and faculty are excellent English speakers allowing easy integration of our beginner Spanish speakers.
The methodology used in many of the classes is primarily communicative. The class is given in English, and several strategies are employed to prevent the use of Spanish in the activities that are carried out.
STUDENT AGES
Students aged 16 or below are placed into school year study by date of birth (age) rather than Grade. Each Edukick participant will receive a schedule and class descriptions of their school year once registered.
Students aged 16 -18 will be required to submit their current school transcript for review by Collegio Alameda admissions staff who will advise which grade the participant will be allowed to participate in at which stage a list of classes will be issued
Classes for those under 16 years old begin at 8:50 and end at 17:00. Lunch break is 13:55 to 15:20 and during this period participants take the short 3 or 4 minute walk between school and our accommodations to eat lunch prepared by our onsite private cook.
Classes for those aged 16 – 18 start at 7:55 and end at 14:55 so lunch at our accommodations will take place at 15.00 immediately after school.
ACTUAL TIMETABLES
Participants will join school after the 1st academic class at 9:45 a minimum of 2 and maximum of 4 days a week to allow them to join EduKick Madrid early morning training sessions. We have an agreement with the school director to decide individually for each participant once we know actual timetable and subjects each participant will take during the first lesson to ensure each participant does not miss important subjects.
NOTE
Note: EduKick Year long program begins approximately 4 weeks prior to the start of the Collegio Alameda school year and during this period in addition to daily soccer training participants will be put through an intensive Spanish Language program to help prepare them for the first day of school
EduKick encourages participants to begin to increase their Spanish language ability as soon as they have registered for our program. We recommend you try attending Spanish language classes or attempt self-study using language learning books, CD’s or online programs.
FOOTBALL COURSE
Football Coaching (Technical)
The program is split into training modules that are 6 weeks in duration and each module includes fitness, strength & conditioning, technical & tactical instruction. At the end of each 6 week module each participant will receive a progress report. Each participant’s progress is monitored individually by EduKick Madrid technical staff who provide progressive individual training plans for each 6 week module based upon the participants previous module performance.
Participants participate in a minimum of 4 Edukick Madrid technical/tactical training sessions on the pitch each week under the guidance of EduKick Madrid Technical Director and his coaching staff.
The weekly schedule also allows for visits to the fitness centre so that participants can work on their individual strength & conditioning programs under the supervision and guidance of EduKick Madrid technical staff
Local Club Placement:
Placement to a local club team is dependent upon each participant’s age, playing level and passport country of issue.
- Participants aged 18+ regardless of passport country of origin are allowed to apply for a Spanish Federation player license which allows them to sign and play competitive matches in Madrid Federated leagues
- Participants aged 16 – 18 years of age with EU passports are allowed to apply for a Spanish Federation player license which allows them to sign and play competitive matches in Madrid Federated leagues.
- Participants aged under 18 who hold international passports (country of origin is outside the EU) are not allowed to apply for a Spanish Federation player license as per FIFA article 19 so cannot play in competitive matches in the Madrid federated leagues.
NOTE: It is important to understand if you are in Category 3 you will still be able to train with a Federated league team should your level be acceptable to the local team coach and you would then be able to play matches in the local municipal league which does not fall under the FIFA Article 19 ruling.
Football Coaching (Tactical)
Football Coaching (Technical) – Practice makes perfect with every individual player. Each week the students will be coached not only in the complexities of the game but also the simple elements of the game to ensure individual improvement and performance. Simple repetitive practices that the professionals in the Spanish game take part in and will be introduced to ensure the players are focused on all aspects of the game.
Technical & Competitive Matches
EduKick Madrid FC – Training & Competitive Matches in Local Madrid League. All participants upon registration automatically become members of the EduKick Madrid FC squad who compete weekly in the local SANSE/AlCOBENDAS area league. EDUKICK MADRID SEASON FRIENDLIES
Edukick Madrid Season Friendlies. Besides the insertion in local teams, Edukick Madrid will organize during the week and in local holidays friendly games against competitive local academies. There will be a minimum of two friendlies per month. The purpose of these matches is to help establish a pure and authentic Edukick Madrid team feeling. By living together, training together and playing together in these friendly games representing the Edukick Madrid spirit, participants reach a higher level of community and cohesion. The benefits of the team experience are huge, they reach each other further, they help each other more and they respect each other much better. During the last few years we have participated in more than 50 friendlies all around Spain and participants love them. Our major event is the ALCALA CUP Youth tournament that takes place in Madrid during Easter. We have been defending champions for two of the last three seasons.
